And in many european and extra-european countries, in professional schools of dance-therapy (Greece, Italy, Argentina) or in dance-therapy trainings in psychiatric hospitals (Belgium) or therapy associations (France,
Belgium…) Dance Researcher in anthropological department of CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) : seminar dance anthropology. She related cultural practices and has published several books on the therapeutic function of dances and trance in traditional societies. Much in line with the work done by Katherine Dunham in the field, France Schott-Billmann’s anthropological reading of these rituals informs her approach to dance therapy.
